Truman Sports Complex

The Harry S. Truman Sports Complex is a facility located in Kansas City, Missouri. It was built by the government of Jackson County, Missouri. Arrowhead Stadium, home of the National Football League's Kansas City Chiefs, opened in the fall of 1972; and adjacent Royals Stadium (now Kauffman Stadium), home of Major League Baseball's Kansas City Royals, opened in the spring of 1973. The complex was one of the first (if not the first) of its kind. The theory behind the concept was that multiple stadia could share the same infrastructure: parking, roads, etc., while still having the benefits of sport-specific facilities.
