Trudy Lecaine

Trudi LeCaine (1912-September 5, 1999) was an Ottawa arts patron who is known for her work with local and national arts initiatives. Moving to Ottawa in 1944, she was surprised by the area's lack of boths art's performances and arts education opportunities for youth. In response, she organized recitals and music events, opening her house to individual artists, allowing them to meet potential patrons. She was an instigator in creating a skating rink on the Rideau Canal.
