Trotting Horse

A trotting horse is a standardbred horse whose gait is diagonal, called trot. In a diagonal gait, horse's forelegs move in unison with the hindlegs on the opposite side left foreleg with right hindleg and left hindleg with right foreleg. The other gait used by standardbred horses is the pace. See also harness racing.
