Trinidad, Cuba

Trinidad, pop. 71,776 (1998), is a town in the province of Sancti Spritus, central Cuba. Its main industry is tobacco processing. Trinidad was founded in 1514 by Diego Velzquez de Cullar under the name Villa De la Santsima Trinidad. It is one of UNESCOs World Heritage sites since 1988.
