Tribune Corporation

Based in Chicago, the Tribune Corporation owns the Chicago Tribune, Los Angeles Times, Newsday in New York, The Baltimore Sun and Chicago Cubs, among other holdings. Proper name is Tribune Company.

Criticism

One criticism of the Tribune Corporation is that they are responsible for the Cubs' perpetual losing. The Tribune Corporation discovered that the Cubs are more profitable fielding a poor team, rather than spending big on free agents. The Chicago Cubs are located in a trendy area of Chicago, causing them to have great attendance at home games, even when the team is doing poorly.
