Cohen Director: Mutant Mike B. Anderson Couch Gag: The Grim Reaper sits on the couch and kills everyone in the Simpson family. Opening Sequence Homer lights a jack-o'-lantern which ignites instantly, causing Homer's hand (and eventually, his body) to be on fire. He runs back and forth, screaming. Synopsis The Thing and I Bart and Lisa think that there is something in the attic. Homer does not believe him, although he feeds the thing fish heads. Bart and Lisa investigate in the attic to find out that there really is a monster. Homer and Marge call Dr. Hibbert about the thing, which appears to be Bart's conjoined twin brother, Hugo. Dr. Hibbert says that Hugo and Bart's birth as conjoined twins was an irregularity because one of them was pure evil, and he had to seperate them, choosing to take Bart home and let Hugo be chained up in the attic. Bart even sees the scar from the birth. The Simpsons, sans Bart, look for Hugo, but after they leave, Hugo decides he's going to sew himself and Bart up. When they come home, Dr. Hibbert realizes that the evil twin is Bart, and he is locked up in the attic. The Genesis Tub When Lisa does a science project about if cola will dissolve a tooth, Bart shocks Lisa as part of his project to prove that nerds conduct electricity. She accidentally shocks the tooth, and they undergo an unusual electrical reaction. Lisa finds out she has created life, and the people in her universe evolve into modern times and inevitably, the future. Bart destroys things in Lisa's tub universe, and the people respond by attacking Bart. Lisa is shrunken to fit into the tub, and she is found to be a God, while Bart is found to be a Devil. Lisa wants to be unshrunken, but she is locked, and Bart takes Lisa's project to school, which wins first prize in the science fair. Citizen Kang Homer goes fishing, and he is abducted by the aliens Kang and Kodos. They want to find Earth's leader, and Homer tells them it's Bill Clinton, but he also reminds them of the election and he also mentions that the winner could be Bob Dole instead. Kang and Kodos set coordinates for both Dole and Clinton. The aliens freeze Dole and Clinton in a tube with some sort of fluid, who are respectively replaced by Kang and Kodos. Homer questions the cloning, and he comes back to Earth. When he returns, he notices the way Dole and Clinton speak bizarrely. At a debate between the candidates, he exposes them as "alien replicons from beyond the moon." He is booted out of the debate and kicks a bush, which actually appears to be the aliens' spaceship. Homer sends the real Dole and the real Clinton back to where they should be, but he accidentally sends them flying into space. On the day before the election, he heads to Washington, D.C. to hear the candidates' speeches, and unmasks the candidates as aliens. Kang is eventually elected President and forces Americans to build a ray gun to aim at a planet. Trivia Quotes - Lisa: Oh, great. I'm stuck in this lousy tub for the rest of my life. Shouldn't you people be grovelling? (the people do) And bring me some shoes. Nice ones.
Man: She'll want some socks, too. I'll get socks. - Marge: I still don't understand why we have to build a ray gun at a planet I never even heard of.
Homer: Don't blame me. I voted for Kodos. (he is whipped by an alien)
