Transmitter Sottens

The Transmitter Sottens is the nationwide transmitter for French speaking Switzerland. The transmitter Sottens is run on 765 kHz with a power of 600 kilowatts and is easily receivable at nighttime in whole Europe. As aerial is used since 1989 a reusen aerial with feeding in its middle, which is fixed on a 188 metres high grounded freestanding steel framework tower. Before 1989 a 190 metre high selfradiating, free standing steel framework tower was used as transmission aerial.
