Transmitter Peterborough

The transmitter Peterborough is a facility for directional radio services, FM- and TV-transmissions near Peterborough, UK. It used as aerial tower for the FM- and TV-transmissions a 163 metre high guyed steel framework mast. Beside this there is a steel concrete tower for the directional radio services on the area. At a fire on October 30th, 2004 the guyed steel framework mast collapsed and damaged thereby also the transmission building. The concrete tower was not damaged at this incidence. For restoring the broadcasting services interrupted by the mast collapse two temporary masts were erected.
