Trambaix

The Trambaix is a light rail (tram) system connecting the Baix Llobregat area with the city of Barcelona in Spain. It opened to the public on April 5 2004 after an open doors weekend where citizens could use freely the tram. The Trambaix includes three different routes (T1, T2 and T3). The tram route starts at Plaa Francesc Maci in Barcelona to the west of the city and extends west, passing L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, Esplugues de Llobregat, Cornell de Llobregat, Sant Joan Desp and Sant Just Desvern. There are plans for extensions since the T3 is expected to arrive to Consell Comarcal in Sant Just Desvern.
