Tous, Iran

Tus (توس or طوس in Persian) also known as Toos or Tous, is an ancient city in the Iranian province of Khorasan. Some notable figures in the history of Iran who were born in Tus include: Geber, Ferdowsi, Asadi Tusi, Nizam al-Mulk, Al-Ghazali, and Nasir al-Din al-Tusi. Caliph Harun al-Rashid is said to be buried in Tus.
