Hikers also enjoy being in the mountains of Vitosha, the Rhodopes and many other smaller mountains. Bicycling is popular in Bulgaria, one of only six countries in the world to annually host official 1200km Randonnees - ultra-marathon bicycle rides patterned after Paris-Brest-Paris.
