Tongling

Tongling () is a city in Anhui province of China. In Chinese, tong (銅) means copper, while ling (陵) means city. This city produces a great deal of copper and is named after that. Actually, this area has a very long history of copper production, as evidenced from the work of Li Bai, one the most famous poets in Chinese history. Tongling is a river port on the Yangtze River (Chang Jiang).
