Tongkat Silat

Tongkat Silat is a martial art founded by Maha Guru "Pak Vic" de Thouars, in 1957. The system is a mixture of several martial arts: 1. judo, 2. jujutsu, 3. boxing, 4. Western fencing, Silat Soempat and Serak. It was first introduced to the general public in 1980. 2005 brings a new chapter for the system of Tongkat Silat as it is taught in the greater Los Angeles area of Bellflower, California. Current head Tongkat Silat teacher is Christopher Gielen.
