Tomlinson Holman

Tomlinson Holman is an American film theorist and inventor of film technologies, notably the Lucasfilm THX sound system. He is currently working on implementing a 10.2 (essentially 2 x 5.1) surround system that will incorporate altitude into the surround experience. Tom Holman currently teaches film sound at the University of Southern California, and his book Sound for Film and Television is required reading in many college film courses.
