Tom Bailey

Thomas Aaron Bailey is a libertarian activist and was the Libertarian candidate for the U.S. Senate from North Carolina in the 2004 general elections. A contractor and Army veteran from Greensboro, North Carolina, Bailey faced Democrat Erskine Bowles and Republican Richard Burr in the 2004 Senate election, earning about 1% of the popular vote. Bailey previously run unsuccessfully for the North Carolina General Assembly as a Libertarian in 1996 and 1998, and for the United States House of Representatives in 2002. Bailey also founded the Guilford County, North Carolina affiliate of the Libertarian Party.
