Tinting

Car Tinting: A thin specially designed film is applied (usually) to the inside window of the vehicle. It is not normally considered a necessity to have your car windows tinted. It is usually an option added extra for a vehicle owner. It maybe added at time of purchase for a new car or applied by a professional car tinting organisation or even applied by a handyman. In some countries it would be more likely applied than others, especially if they live in a dry, warm climate country like Australia for example. Or possibly some ice prone countries to help reduce the glare of the sun's UV rays. Usually there are government rules and regulations set in place to ensure darkness levels of tint films meet the guidelines. Tint can reduce the visibility for a driver especially at night time, so laws are usually strictly enforced. People would generally get their car windows tinted mainly for these reasons; 1. A perceived value addition to a car - makes the car look more sporty. 2. For the reason above to help reduce the glare of the suns rays and help prevent eye fatigue. 3. Privacy - to hinder the ability for someone to look at the contents inside the vehicle. ie. Limousines, tradesman - hide tools etc. 4. Keeps the car and its occupants cooler. Helps save the interior of the car from damage and fading from the suns UV rays. 5. Tinted windows also is considered as in an accident or theft the window glass shattering is reduced as the film applied holds the glass fragments together eliminating nasty cuts and abbrasions.
