Tin Foil Phoenix

Tin Foil Phoenix is a hard rock band from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, formerly known as Sonic Bloom. The band formed as a trio in the mid-1990s with Michael Allen Zirk, Steven Kray and Fish. In 1999, Paul Robinson joined the band as a bassist. Two years later, they added another guitarist, Phil Cholosky. In 2001, they released Hurry, a seven-song EP. Its first single, Neopolitan, got a great amount of airplay on Canadian radio. The song soon caught 604 Records co-founder Jonathan Simkin's attention and the band was signed to 604 Records/Universal in the summer of 2002. The deal guaranteed the release of their debut album in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands. They list Van Halen, Public Enemy, Stone Temple Pilots, Rush and Duran Duran as some of their influences. Their highly-anticipated first full-length album, Living In The Shadow Of The Bat, will be released in 2004 by 604/Universal.
