Time/space Mage

The Time/Space Mage (Japanese: 時魔道士) is a character class (or "job") featured in Square Enix's Final Fantasy series of computer role-playing games. It is occassionally referred to as simply Time Mage. The Time/Space Mage is portrayed as a specialized wizard with the ability to manipulate the space-time continuum. In practice, this means that it is able to speed up, slow down, or completely halt the passage of time, to increase or decrease the pull of gravity, or even to open up rifts to another dimension. Like most magic users, the Time/Space Mage is a poor physical combatant, and, although it claims a wider variety of offensive spells than the White Mage, it nonetheless runs a distant third to the Black Mage and the Summoner in terms of magic-based attacks. Because of this, the Time/Space Mage is most effectively used to support other party members during battle. The Time/Space Mage has appeared in the following games in the Final Fantasy series Time/Space magic is often integrated with either black magic or white magic, based on its usage, and is utilized by other magic-casting jobs in games where the Time/Space Mage is not present.
