Tie-in Novel

A tie-in novel is a novel that often is released and marketed to accompany some other release such as a movie or video. Many find that tie-in novels are of lesser quality than the original, however this is not always the case. Often the reverse occurs, such as a tie-in movie to a book, and so on.
