Tiburcio Caras Andino

Tiburcio Caras Andino was born in 1876 in Tegucigalpa in Honduras, and died in the same city in 1969. In 1918 he founded the National Party of Honduras. He was briefly President of Honduras in April 1924. He became a general during the revolution of 1930 and then on February 1 1933 he became President again, this time for 16 years until January 1 1949, when he was injured and forced out of power. He had a reputation as a strong man.
