Thunderdome Music Festival

Thunderdome was a music festival (in the early 1990s) in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Thunderdome was the first attempt to bring the hardcore and gabber genres to a big audience. Thunderdome was brought under the ID&T Label, and later Sony. Thunderdome was originally under an indie label (not sure of the label). Thunderdome is a defining collection of musical works in the most literal sense. The creative blends of styles in the early 90s and throughout the decade defined numerous genres of music for at least a decade to come. Most people are unaware, but their mp3 playlists almost always include a thunderdome song, even if they have no love of any of the genres birthed from it. Most DJs are aware of thunderdome, and its impact on their work.
