Thulane Malinga

Thulane "Sugar Boy" Malinga was a boxer from Ladysmith, South_Africa.

Career

Born on December 11, 1958, Malinga compiled a record of 195-10 as an amateur before turning pro with a first-round T.K.O. of Victor Zulu on August 8, 1981. Malinga held several championship titles during a twenty year career as a middleweight, super_middleweight, and light_heavyweight, fighting memorable bouts against Roy_Jones_Jr. and Nigel_Benn, among others. He retired after a suffering an eighth-round T.K.O. against Ole_Klemetsen on January 14, 2000, finishing his career with 44 wins (20 by K.O.) and 13 losses.
