Thrin I

Thrin I, sometimes Thrain the Old, is a fictional character from J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle-earth. He was the son of Nin I, and succeeded his father as King of Khazad-dm. When his father was slain by the Balrog as his grandfather Drin VI had been killed before, Thrin I fled Khazad-dm together with the remainder of Durin's folk, migrating to Erebor, which he founded in 1999 T.A..
