Thomas L. Beard

Thomas Lynn Beard (b. September 7, 1962) is an American musician, composer, and writer. Also known as "Tom", he came to prominence as a keyboardist/vocalist with the Christian band, Glad, in 1984. He recorded five albums with the band: one received a Critic's Choice Award from Billboard Magazine, and another was nominated for a Dove Award by the Gospel Music Association. He was born in Wasco, California, and was raised throughout the state. In high school he was very interested in sports, photography, and writing. He worked as a radio announcer before turning to music. In August of 1987, Tom was married to Zarette Rene' Sawyer of Arvada, Colorado, and they have a son, Sabian. He currently resides with his family in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Beard, Thomas L.
