Thomas DanforthThomas Danforth was a famous judge of the Salem Witchcraft Trials in early colonial America. As a character in The Crucible by Arthur Miller, he is portrayed as a hotheaded judge who has aspirations to eventually move to a court in Boston. He is shown with tendencies to use trickery and intimidation to get whatever information he wants out of the witnesses and defendants.
