The Westmont

The Westmont is an apartment building on Columbus Avenue in Manhattan, between 95th and 96th Streets, providing luxury dormitory like acomodations to singles of the Modern Orthodox Judaism community. Across 96th St. stands its sister building, the Key West, and around the corner is Congregation Ohab Zedek. Various pretenders, themselves not cool enough to live in The Westmont, are known to linger in its lobby on Friday and Saturday nights in an attempt to glean intelligence on the "happening" onegs and parties with an eye towards crashing such.
