The Weird Al Show

The Weird Al Show was a short-lived television show starring "Weird Al" Yankovic. It aired Saturday mornings on the CBS TV network from September 1997 to September 1998. By FCC requirement, it was educational, and though it appeared to be geared at children, the moralistic messages were interspersed with Yankovic's trademark slapstick parody and the humor were really more for adult fans of Weird Al. The show's varied cast of characters included the Hooded Avenger (Brian Haley), Madame Judy (Judy Tenuta), J.B. Toppersmith (Stan Freberg), and Harvey The Wonder Hamster. The show was cancelled after one season. The theme song can be found on Al's Running with Scissors album, as "The Weird Al Show Theme."
