The Washington Blade

The Washington Blade is the main gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered newspaper in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Launched as an independent publication in October 1969, it has since been picked up by a major publishing house. It is now part of a group of gay-oriented newspapers circulated throughout the United States. It focuses mainly on global and regional political issues concerning GLBT persons.
