The Virgin Queen

The term Virgin Queen is often used to refer to Elizabeth I the Queen of England and the Queen of Ireland in the 16th Century. The term "Virgin Queen" is perhaps used incorrectly; even though she was never married, she had many lovers. The term was also used to name the Virginia Colony.
