The Triumphs Of Oriana

One of the books that Thomas Morley, a rennaisence composer, printed and put together was The Triumphs of Oriana. This book consists of 25 madrigals by 23 different composers, two of the madrigals are written by Thomas. This book was published in 1601. It was said to be made in the honor of Queen Elizabeth. At the end of Thomas' madrigals it says long live Oriana. The word Oriana often referred to Queen Elizabeth.
