The Skate Party is a indie rock music group whose main claim to fame is recording The Cheat Theme Song, featured as a music video on Homestar Runner. Their website contains self-deprecating and satirical humor. For example, the listing of performances on their website consist mostly of shows that they did not play at, and days that they did not perform. Of the shows they did perform at, one was a wedding, and the other was a sorority party where they were kicked off the stage. Besides the popular The Cheat Theme Song, The Skate Party has also recorded an emo song about Strong Sad, a character on Homestar Runner who is chronically depressed, called Strong Sad Rocks Out.
