The Simpsons Road Rage is a video game that was released in 2002 by Electronic Arts. It's based on the famous TV show The Simpsons and it is part of a series of games based on that show. It stars Bart Simpson, Homer Simpson, Lisa Simpson, Marge Simpson, Montgomery Burns and over 25 other show characters. Road Rage is very similar to the game Crazy Taxi. The game starts when Montgomery Burns has bought over all transport systems in the city and begun to over-charge everyone for the transportation services. The citizens of the city (managed by the game player) must earn money driving taxis around town in order to regain control of the transport systems. The only way that players can gain over control of the city's transport systems back is by collecting 17 different vehicles, unlocking 6 different levels and completing 10 different missions. In order to collect the vehicles and unlock levels, players must earn one hundred thousand dollars for each car or level they want to get. In order to complete missions, players must do certain things in an allowed amount of time (such as knocking down 12 baseball team mascots in 45 seconds). To earn the money, players must drive around a taxi for a given amount of time, picking up passengers and taking them to their destinations. Any of the vehicles that the player has collected can be used as taxis. Players have to avoid certain hurdles, such as other vehicles that spin out of control, rocks, flying street objects and houses on difficult curves. As time goes by and the players pick up more and more passengers, these obstacles become more and more difficult. The game also features the voices of each of the respective characters and some of their commonly said phrases. It was released for various game play console systems.
