The Rep

The Rep is the name of a newspaper publication that is geared towards a teenaged and college aged group of readers. Published by parent company AZ Central Newspapers and a smaller sister of The Arizona Republic, The Rep has been in circulation since 1997, and it's available at free newspaper corner stands across Arizona on Thursdays. Because The Rep is geared towards younger readers, it seldom covers world news, concentrating on the hip hop and pop news of Arizona, such as restaurant, museum, concert, movie and club information, and interviews with movie and music stars, directors, artists and such other personalities. In addition, it has a yearly award, where the best companies at different areas in Phoenix are awarded. One of the columnists on this weekly newspaper, Deshong Sherry, also earns her living in the news department of television's channel 12 in Phoenix.
