The Process

The Process is a 1996 album by Skinny Puppy. It is named after the '60s/'70s cult of the same name founded by Robert DeGrimston (aka Robert Moore), and Mary Ann MacLean, a group that also had considerable impact on other industrial music artists like Psychic TV and Boyd Rice.

Personnel

Notes

"This Album Is Dedicated In Loving Memory Of D.R. Goettel - February 1, 1964 - August 23, 1995" Sleeve design and art direction by Steven Gilmore. The only single from the album was "Candle", which was released as a radio edit on a promotional-only CD single.

Additional information

Due to excessive friction between band members, the album initially was abandoned unfinished. After Goettel's death due to a heroin overdose in 1995, Ogre, Key, and Ogilvie decided to finish the album and release it as the final Skinny Puppy album. The liner notes include the simple statement "The End". However, this was not the final Skinny Puppy album. Eight years later in 2004, Key and Ogre reformed the band and released The Greater Wrong of the Right.
