The Power Of Myth

"The Power of Myth" was a PBS television series presented by Joseph Campbell in collaboration with journalist Bill Moyers. It was first broadcast in 1988, the year after Campbell's death. The series comprises interviews and discussion in which Campbell presents his ideas about comparative mythology and the ongoing role of myth in human society. These talks include excerpts from Campbell's seminal work The Hero with a Thousand Faces and the film Star Wars. Campbell and Moyers also authored a companion book to the series, The Power of Myth 0385247745.
