The Order Of The StickThe Order of the Stick is a semiweekly, online comic strip about a group of adventurers. The humour tends to be centered mostly on Dungeons and Dragons, along with other role-playing games. It is drawn and authored in a deliberate stick figure style by Rich Burlew, a graphic designer and aspiring game designer from Queens. Characters Belkar Bitterleaf A vicious, bad-tempered, possibly evil halfling multiclass ranger-barbarian. Durkon Thundershield A stereotypical dwarven cleric. Elan the Bard A frivolous and annoying bard who is mentally challenged because he was hit on the head by his evil twin brother as a child. Haley Starshine A thief who uses her feminine wiles to keep most of the treasure for herself. Roy Greenhilt The leader and veteran fighter of the group. Roy, in a reversal of the dumb fighter cliche, is smart enough to have an MBA. He is leading the party against the evil Xykon, a mage and lich, who killed the master of Roy's father before his eyes (the eyes of Roy's father, not Roy :). Vaarsuvius The androgynous elven mage of the group. Xykon The Bad Guy of the comic, an evil power-mad lich who has taken over the Dungeon of Dorukan and is seeking to unseal Dorukan's Gate to gain unheard-of magical powers. He has a picture-in-picture scrying crystal to spy on The Order of the Stick and hundreds of goblin, mercenary and undead minions with which to crush his enemies. Quotes Haley: "My Daddy was a 1st edition thief"
Elan: "Bluff, bluff, bluff, bluff the Stupid Ogre"
Belkar: "You call that skinny thing a weapon? I could Sunder that by speaking too loudly"
Vaarsuvius: "Evan's Spiked Tentacles of Forced Intrusion!" (Monster: Wait, what? AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!)
Xykon: "Three-for-one deal, my bony ass!"
Roy: "Elan! Stop doing dramatic musical cues for the dead chimera!"
Durkon: "'Tis it, Durkon. Whatever hellspawn be climbin' outta that pit, I hope 'e chokes on me beard!"
Random Monster: "Eh screw this. I'll order Thai."
Xykon: "I've got two words for goblin morale: Goblin zombies."
