The Nappy Roots

The Nappy Roots are a rap group from Kentucky. They were established in 1995 by students of Western Kentucky University. Members include both Kentucky and Oakland natives. Some of their hits include AwwNaww, Po' Folks, Sick and Tired. and Round The Globe. The Nappy Roots recorded two albums and also worked on the soundtrack of the film "The Ladykillers" by Joel and Ethan Coen.
