The Little Sisters Of EluriaThe Little Sisters of Eluria is a short story written by Stephen King and first published in 1998 in his collection Everything's Eventual: 14 Dark Tales. The tale concerns events experienced by Roland of Gilead before the events of Dark Tower series of books. In it Roland is attacked and perhaps even killed by slow mutants in the apparently abandoned town of Eluria, before awakening in a hospital marquee. The other patients gradually disappear and Roland finds himself seemingly powerless to escape from his malevolent healers, the Little Sisters of the title. Little Sisters of Eluria
