The Last UnicornThe Last Unicorn is a fantasy novel written by Peter S. Beagle. It was made into an animated movie by Rankin-Bass. The story is about a unicorn Lady Amalthea who one day wonders whether she is the last of her kind, and sets out on a long journey to find others. Along the way she is joined by the clumsy magician and last of the Red Swamis Schmendrick, and the old woman Molly Grue. But in finding others like her, she risks losing herself. The film's music was composed and arranged by Jimmy Webb and performed by the group America. The title song has been covered many times, including by Kenny Loggins on his Return to Pooh Corner album, and by the German group In-Mood. A computer-animated remake of the movie is currently in development. External links Last Unicorn Last Unicorn
