The Great War (Game)The Great War, formerly 1914: The Great War, is a World War I-themed Battlefield 1942 (2002) mod. This total conversion mod had its first public release in the spring of 2004. Featured in game are wide variety of WW1 era weapons and vehicles, especially aircraft. The gameplay balance is kept at about the same level of realism as vanilla Battlefield. It differs from the other battlefield WW1 mod, Battlefield 1918 in being somewhat less extensive in terms of conversion and having a greater focus on aircraft and fun-style physics and gameplay. TGW features many unique maps and offers some different armies. The mod is still in development with feature releases adding more content.
