The Flowers Of Romance (Band)

The Flowers of Romance were an early punk band, formed in the summer of 1976 (see 1976 in music) by Jo Faull and Sarah Hall. The band never played live or released any recordings, and, like London SS and the Masters Of The Backsides, are more famed for the number of band members that later became well known, including Sid Vicious of the Sex Pistols, as well as Keith Levene, (an early member of The Clash and later of Public Image Ltd), Palmolive and Viv Albertine, who went on to form The Slits. The band's name subsequently became the title of a 1981 Public Image Ltd album (see The Flowers of Romance). In 1999, a band calling itself "The Flowers of Romance" (with none of the original members) claimed to be the "come-back" of the 1976 group.
