The Christian Year

The Christian Year is a series of poems for every day of the year for Christians written by John Keble in 1827. The book is the source for several hymns, and the work was extremely popular in the 19th century. The Christian Year is also a term for the liturgical calendar, which begins and ends at Advent, in contrast to the calendar year, which begins with January 1.
