The Big Heat

The Big Heat (1953)

The Big Heat is the Fritz Lang-directed gritty drama of crooked cops and murder. Dave Bannion (Glenn Ford) is a honest cop who learns that one of his fellow officers has committed suicide. As Bannion digs deeper into what now he suspects is a murder, he becomes more and more driven to solve the mystery. He keeps digging even when the gangster violence and terror hits home. Lee Marvin and Gloria Grahame give stunning supporting performances in this classic film noir.
