Terry Knight

Terry Knight (born Richard Terrence Knapp on April 9, 1943, died November 1, 2004), was an American rock and roll music producer and musician. He was born in Flint, Michigan. He was best known for producing and managing the 1970s rock bands Grand Funk Railroad and Bloodrock. In the late 1960s, he led his own rock band, Terry Knight and the Pack, and had also been a popular disc jockey at several Detroit area radio stations. Under his management, Grand Funk Railroad became one of the most popular rock bands of the early 1970s. After the members of both of the bands he managed had a falling out with him, he retired from music production. Terry Knight was murdered at the age of 61, found stabbed to death in his apartment in Killeen, Texas.
