Teleparallelism
In
theoretical physics
,
teleparallelism
is an alternative theory to
general relativity
. The setting is a (locally)
flat
Minkowski space
(i.e. no
curvature
), but having
torsion
. Gravitational effects are due to this torsion and
not
the curvature of spacetime. Current experiments still cannot distinguish between general relativity and teleparallelism.
