Teleparallelism

In theoretical physics, teleparallelism is an alternative theory to general relativity. The setting is a (locally) flat Minkowski space (i.e. no curvature), but having torsion. Gravitational effects are due to this torsion and not the curvature of spacetime. Current experiments still cannot distinguish between general relativity and teleparallelism.
