TathwellTathwell is a village in Lincolnshire, United Kingdom. It lies within the administrative district of East Lindsey, around three miles south of the town of Louth. Cadwell Park motor racing circuit can found around two miles south of Tathwell. There is a war memorial at Tathwell, a cross on erected one corner of the main crossroads which reads: In memory of the men from this Parish who gave their lives in the Great War 1914 - 1919 Name Arthur Butler William Harris George Janney Herbert King Wood Ernest Smith William Smith Edward Standaloft Joseph Westerby George Woods St. Vedast's Church also houses The Hamby Monument, a wall monument originally constructed around 1620, and later restored by the Chaplin family. Near Cadwell and in Tathwell Parish is Tathwell Long barrow. It is surrounded by trees (which has probably saved it from being ploughed level, the fate of many barrows), and in the middle of a field with no footpath, but visible from the road.
