Tara Hitchcock

Tara Hitchcock (born 1971) is an American journalist and news anchor. She was born in Pennsylvania, the eldest of four daughters. Her family lived in Massachusetts and New Jersey. In 1981, they settled in Plano, Texas, near Dallas. Her parents still live in Plano. Tara attended Boston College and holds a BA in political science and communications. She received a master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. She held assignments as news anchor, host, and assignment journalist for local TV stations in Texas. In 1996, she became the anchor of the regional news program Good Morning Arizona on Channel 3 in Phoenix. Tara Hitchcock lives in the Phoenix suburb of Ahwatukee Foothills.
