TangutThe Tangut were a Qiangic-Tibetan people who moved to the highlands of western Sichuan sometime before the 10th century AD. They speak a Tibeto-Burman language, which is now extinct. History Ever since they moved to West Sichuan before the 10th century AD, the Tangut have went to process of Sincization. They established the Western Xia Empire.
