Takushoku University

Takushoku University (拓殖大学 Takushoku Daigaku, abbreviated as 拓大 Takudai) was founded in 1900 by Prince Taro Katsura. Originally it was named the Taiwan Association School, and was founded to produce graduates to contribute to the development of Taiwan. It was renamed to Takushoku University in 1918. It is located in Tokyo and has two campuses. The main campus is in the Bunkyo district, and the other campus is in the Hachioji district.
