Taha Yassin Ramadan (born 1938) was the Vice President of Iraq from March 1991 to the fall of Saddam Hussein in April 2003. The two men's careers have been closely intertwined since, and in 1991, Saddam made him Vice President of Iraq. He is the Ten of Diamonds in the most-wanted Iraqi playing cards. On August 19, 2003 Taha Yassin Ramadan was captured in Mosul, by fighters of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) and handed over to US forces. He will stand trial before the Iraq Special Tribunal, charged with crimes against humanity.
